Trihydrate








Pediatric patients less than 40kg. URIs, GU infection, skin and soft tissue infection 20-40 mg/ kg/ day PO in divided doses every 8hrs.









Bactericidal: inhibits synthesis of cell wall of sensitive organisms causing cell death.









-Infections due to susceptible strains of haemophilus influenzae, e.coli, proteus mirabilis, neisseria gonorrheae, steptococcus pneumoniae, enterococcus fecalis, streptococci, non-penicillinase- producing staphylococci









-Contraindicated with allergies to penicillin, cephalosporins, or other allergens.
-Use cautiously with renal disorders,and lactation.









-CNS: Lethargy, Hallucinations, Seizures
-GI: Glossitis, Stomatitis, Gastritis, sore mouth, furry tongue, black “hairy” tongue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloody diarrhea, entercolitis, pseudomembranous, colitis,nonspecific hepatitis, 
-









-Take  this drug a round-the-clock
-Take the full course of therapy
-Do not stop because you will feel better
-This antibiotic  is specific for this problem and should not be used to self-treat other infection
-Report unusual bleeding or bruising sore throat, fever, rash, hives, severe diarrhea, difficulty in breathing.
